Frozen Shoulder
Frozen Shoulder or ‘Adhesive Capsulitis’ is a common source of pain in the shoulder.
Frozen Shoulder basically means that your shoulder pain and stiffness is a result of shoulder capsule inflammation (capsulitis) and fibrotic adhesions that limit your shoulder movement.
Unfortunately the cause of Frozen Shoulder is still not yet known. There are many theories but the medical world has not yet come to a consensus.
Frozen Shoulder Symptons
The symptoms of Frozen Shoulder come in 3 Stages and can greatly vary in time.
- Freezing
- Progressive loss of range of motion
- Pain around the shoulder
- Frozen
- Minimal Pain
- No further loss or ability to change range of motion
- Thawing
- Decrease in Pain
- Gradual return of range of motionWeakness and instability due to lack of use
Frozen Shoulder Treatments
