Good Friday Appeal Fundraiser for the Royal Children’s Hospital.

We were lucky enough to be asked to be a part of the ‘Good Friday Appeal’ raising money for the Royal Children’s Hospital over the Easter weekend. A heroic group of four men volunteered to row on an ego rowing machine for 24 hours non-stop to raise money for the RCH staff and patients.

Our Myotherapists treated the team with massage and stretching over the 24 hour period to help reduce muscle cramps, improve their range of movement and help promote muscular recovery between their rowing sets.  Massage is a great way to flush the muscles from the build-up of lactic acid and toxins as well as recover from all physical activity.

During their intense exercise bouts our therapists focused on making sure each participant ate enough food, drank plenty on water and kept their body moving functionally for their optimal endurance and recovery!

The organizer of the event Jed Murphy’s brother was a patient at the RCH and is currently a nurse with the hospital too, the cause was very close to his heart. We were very proud to be a part of such a special event, being able to assist Jed Murphy, Steve Abbott, Sean Anderson and Leigh Murphy. They rowed nearly 300km over the 24 hours and raised over $15,380 for the Good Friday Appeal, what an amazing effort!

Special thank you to Edgar Campos and Jack Day our two Franchise Partner’s for their amazing contribution!
